“ Remember Our Heroes ”
2010 Corbett Fun Festival and
4TH of July Celebrations
………..
. ……
It’s the Fun Festival’s 39th Birthday in 2010!
This year don’t drive so far for your 4th of July! Get in your car and take a short, easy cruise from Gresham, Sandy or Portland to take in a REALLY BIG Celebration in a REALLY SMALL Town.
Join us in our hometown for the whole day where there is something for everyone. Start your day with listening to the rumble of the hot rods in the five and a half mile long parade full of old fashioned candy tossing, a mole judging contest, and play all day in the Fun Zone.
New This Year On Saturday the 3rd: Pancake breakfast, 5K Cross Country Run and 2K Kids Fun Run, The Freedom Jam 3 on 3 Basketball for 5th grade and up, Corbett Alumni Softball Game and Corbett Volleyball for 7th to 12th Grade Girls Grass Doubles see event line up for more information: Lineup 2010
The volunteers of Corbett, made up of the non-profit Corbett Fun Festival Organization, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Corbett Youth Sports, Kiwanis, NERT team, Firemen, and the Corbett Boosters will be putting together another Extremely Big, Fun, Family Celebration. In its 39th year, the Corbett 4th of July activities attract families from all over the region.
The Corbett 4th of July ( on July 4th ) is a total community event, from the volunteer firemen who meticulously place each American flag on a telephone pole lining the 2 ½ mile parade route that starts in Springdale, to the spectacular parade that is longer than the whole town directed by the annual parade crew, to the Boy Scout or the school athlete who serves a burger, to the famous big band–Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts along with The Kooltones on the main stage. Organized by teams of volunteers who start fund raising in December with a Santa Breakfast.
Join us to celebrate the Jeff Lucas Memorial this July 4th. Jeff was a Corbett native and one of our proud local heros. Follow this link for more information: Jeff Lucas stadium groundbreaking
